“Budgets, Finance and Low Dollar Fundraising”
Nancy Hurlbert, Chair of the Lake County Democratic Executive Committee, Chair of the Political Committee of the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida, and DPCF member, will present a requested training session on simple budgeting, finances and fundraising for local clubs and caucus chapters.
10:00 – 12:00 — Leadership Panel Discussion
“Sharing Our DPC Stories: Successes and Challenges”
Moderated by Broward Chapter Board Member and DPCF Board Director Michael Calderin. Panelists: DPCF Vice President Tom Conboy and activist Star Fae (Palm Beach); activists Tomas Kennedy and Erika Groholski (Miami-Dade); Big Bend Chapter President Paul Stoic (Leon); Sarasota-Charlotte Chapter President Mike Shlasko, Polk Chapter President OnDrew Hartigan
This panel will discuss how we carry out the resistance as an “inside” organization. We’ll hear from Palm Beach County activists, who are organizing marches and protests against Trump on his home turf at Mar-a-Lago; Miami-Dade organizers who are leading the way in rapid response holding elected officials accountable; and Leon, Sarasota-Charlotte and Polk leaders on the challenges of organizing in geographically diverse Florida.
